Every migrant’s journey is different, but they often face similar challenges, and JICS Founder Aman Sethi’s journey was no different.

Aman recently shared the story behind why he founded JICS with Indus Age.

Reflecting on his experience moving to Australia at the age of 10 and watching the challenges his parents faced, Aman was inspired to make a difference on how migrants pave their future in Australia. He gave the example of his mother’s journey, a qualified teacher overseas who was unable to continue her profession in Australia due to restrictions on international qualifications being accepted. As a result, she was faced with a significant career shift.

At JICS, we work with many migrants in similar positions – C-suite professionals, senior leaders or business owners who face a new reality and are forced to rebuild their careers. These experiences have shaped JICS mission to help migrants just like Aman’s parents to navigate a better start in a new country.
